Yes. Playing, game analysis, the opening explorer, events, online games, tournaments and most training are free, with no ads. Ananta Pro adds the higher Puzzle Path levels and extra features.

No. Your progress is saved on your own device. For online games and events, Ananta gives this browser a player ID such as AN-7Q4K-2M9X; no email, phone number or password is needed.

Yes. The Ananta Android app is coming to Google Play. It works offline and includes games, puzzles, game reviews and tournaments.

Beginner plays at about 1400, Casual about 1650, Club about 1900, Strong about 2150, Expert about 2450, and Maximum is full-strength Stockfish 19.

Like FIDE ratings: separate Standard, Rapid and Blitz ratings, the FIDE Elo formula with its 400-point cap and K-factors. They are saved on your device. Games without a clock are not rated.

Yes, in every kind of game. Abort is available before the first moves and is not rated; resign and draw offers appear once the game has started.

Open the Analysis board, then paste or drop a PGN file, or press Analyse this game after playing. Full game analysis marks mistakes, gives each side an accuracy and draws the evaluation graph.

For fair play, Stockfish and the opening explorer pause while you are playing a live online or tournament game. They unlock automatically when your game ends.

The explorer needs an internet connection. If Lichess is busy, try again after a minute. Opening names always work, even offline.

Eight levels from 400 to 2800, each with its own lesson. Solve 30 recent puzzles at 80% to unlock the next level; puzzles you miss come back later. Levels 3 to 8 are part of Ananta Pro.

From the Lichess open puzzle database (CC0): over 6,000 real positions from real games, each with a rating and themes.

Open Play, choose Friend online, create the game and share the link on WhatsApp. The game starts when your friend opens it. Both of you play on your own devices with live clocks.

Open Host, create the event (Swiss for any number of players, round-robin for up to about ten), turn on player approval, and share the join code. Start each round; online results are recorded automatically and standings update live.

Offensive names are blocked, and two players in an event cannot use the same name. Add your surname or class, for example Asha R. (8B).

Your ID is kept in this browser. If you cleared your browser data or changed device, you get a new ID; ask the organizer to approve your new one or to remove the old one.

No. A web pass unlocks Pro in the browser where you enter the key. Pro in the Android app is a separate Google Play subscription.

On your device: your games, settings and progress. On Ananta’s server, only for online games and events: the name you type, your player ID, moves and results. These are deleted automatically (games after 30 days, events after 120 days).

Yes, with a parent’s or guardian’s permission for online games and events. Use a first name or nickname, never personal details. Schools running events confirm they have the permission needed.

Close other tabs, then reload the page. Stockfish runs inside your browser, so older phones are slower; lower levels and shorter analysis help.

Press Ctrl + F5 on a computer, or reload the page on your phone, to load the newest version.

Check your internet connection; the game reconnects by itself. Clocks are kept on the server, so no time is lost while the page reconnects.
